WW II - 80's English TV series with USAF B-17's

Hello,

Can you remember the name of a WW II - 80's English TV series with lots of USAF B-17's. It included war time real footage in color or colorized.

It was set in England during WWII in a small town were a squadron of the USAF was deployed. Romance and tension between the locals and the newcomers was the main theme. It had a nice theme song.

Also would you know if it ever came out on VHS/DVD?

Well, it's more recent then 'A Family at War' and older then 'Wish me luck'.

Most of the action is in England and in the aeroplanes (B-17's, mostly)

The main charaters were a local girl (+father+ maybe a brother or sister) and the American squadron captain, but there are a lot of other characters both in the local comunity and in the american aviators.

I don't recal if there were English aviators in there too.
