I remember this series about a boy and his brother or something who run away and live inside a tree in a forest. they eventually meet an old man who also lives wild, ...called 'Old Smoko' ...anyone else remember this in the early 80's?

runaway kids in hollow tree in the woods (English)

Hey there,

i am searching for the title if a series probably from the 70's till 80's where some kids run from their parents(? i think) and when they find this hollow tree they stay there for a longer while...

there were specific bird sounds ( lots of times you hear these in the woods , i know) but specifically an Cookoo.

the music was a very nice , lively piece of flute or something.

all pretty English, ....kids in short trousers and spencers , that sort of stuff,.

People over here thought i meant '' Five .. .. '' , because they did some re-runs on that series , and even DVD-ed that serie.

I had the theme tune in my head before I even clicked onto You Tube. That was another lovely nostalgia trip.
