They definitely look like Syvanian Family figures to me. Aren't they unbearably cute!

Yes they are still sold today theres an advert on T.V for them at the moment.

There is a great website that sells new and secondhand Sylvanian Families they have loads of animals and houses etc. www.sylvanianheaven.co.uk there are some beautiful re-decorated houses as well

My cousin had loads of Sylvanians, & wouldn't let my sister play with them because they were neatly set out on display.

My sister had quite a few of her own, so she could hardly complain.
