Now I do remember real "ringpulls" the disappointment when the ring snapped off leaving the pull bit still there! The new style are just as rubbish though

Ah proper ring pulls. The ones where you separate the ring from the triangle, curl the triangle a little then put one end in one of the slots in the ring, pull back, let go and watch it spin off hopefully not into someone's eye.

Does anyone remember sweets called "Hanky Panky's" ? made by Pascall

Was watching a programme about Arthur Lowe from Dads Army and showed him in an ad from about the 70's (at a guess) for them .

I have never heard of them till then.

                        Any ideas what they were?

Looking on the web I came across this -
Hanky Panky - pre-Madonna, vaguely breast-shaped sweet popcorn which had Arthur Lowe in the TV ads, sat on a park bench beside a dolly bird indulging in double entendre. "Would you care for a bit of Hanky Panky?" SLAP! "I was only offering you a little nibble!" BIG SLAP!...etc.

                          Does that help ??

Was just reading about these yesterday but couldn't find the website again after reading Buzz's post. Finally found it again, pretty much says the same thing as what Joybee wrote, but there's some other interesting stuff on it too.
