  • electric stuff from the argos catalogue 1984

random pages of the catalogue of electric/technology of the day!
    Attached Files
I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

One of those Teasmaids was the same model my Gran had.

Disc cameras didn't last too long.

LOL I think everyones Gran owned a Teasmaid, I know mine did, never saw her use it though.

                  Loving those Hairdryers!

Does anyone still have a use for a Typewriter. I last used one at work in 1996! unbelievably things didnt really take off in the computer world until the advent of MS Windows. Even some businesses didnt get windows 95 until later, the price of computers has considerably dropped as they get more powerful, my minds boggling now on what we have to expect from the technological world in the next 10 -20 years

I didn't know you could get those book like boxes for games tapes, the parents of my friends used to have some for their blank video tapes.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Its amazing how expensive some electronics goods were back then. I noticed a 16 inch remote control colour TV for £259.95 . That will have been a lot of money back in 1984.
Oh to be a kid again with a can of Top Deck on a hot summer day, now that would be good.

I remember wanting one of those little thin 35mm cameras for Christmas and I got bought a disc camera instead because they were new. They were rubbish! The pictures were really grainy and horrible because the negatives were so small. The disc film often got damaged too. I think mine had a hole where the light got in.
