They repeated a lot of the CFF films when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. Glitter Ball was quite funny. Definitely remember that one. Silver flashing ball when he 'talked'. And he made a hole in lots of things especially a Corn Flake box-think he was hungry at the time...

        Hi Richard,

amazon.co.uk has 4 Saturday Morning Pictures DVD's with 2 CFF movies on each DVD.
Netflix offer "The Monster at Highgate Ponds" (1961).
amazon.co.uk has "Five on a treasure Island" and "Five have a Mystery to solve" on DVD, with great booklets. Then there is "Treasure at the Mill", great DVD with some bonus and also a great book!
Atlas Films has a fewer newer CFF films, but they are not nearly as suspenseful as those from the fifties and sixties.

                      Re: Children's Film Foundation's DVD?

Hi guys. Found this thread as I'm looking for a copy of the flying sorcerer - cff production as my partner was one of the extras in the film and has never seen it. Part of it was filmed in Knebworth, that's where she was (in the background!) if anyone has a copy I could get hold of or knows where I could buy it, I'd be really grateful.
                      Thanks

For those that are interested, this has recently been released.
The DVD Includes: The Salvage Gang (1958), Operation Third Form (1966) & Night Ferry (1976).
It's the first release in a series, and all the films have been newly transferred.
Looks like an awesome buy to me, i'm gonna try to get my girlfriend to buy it for me for Christmas.

Looks like i will have to start buying the DVD'S. I used to love watching CFF films on CBBC back in the mid to late 80's, They called it "The Friday Film Special" I remember a film called Big Wheels and Sailor which had a Ford Transcontinental in it, only seen the film in full once but there is a 10 min clip on youtube. I would love to see it again in full.
