    Re: Children's Film Foundation's DVD?

When was the last time a CFF film was shown on TV? - mid 1990s perhaps?

Sky Pirates! I watched this film years ago on tv. Could never remember the name but knew it was a class film. Has anyone got it? Sounds like it’s extremely difficult to get hold of!

Sometimes the CFF films are shown on Talking Pictures TV.

There were a number of DVD releases of CCF titles but seems to have ended without getting to the Johnstown Monster.

They are full of British "there and then" nostalgia, especially the ones from the 1970s - you don't get that with American films over here.

Now that Network has folded, suspect these sort of titles will become scarcer. I'd suggest mailing Talking Pictures for info on anything specific. The owner is getting on a bit, let's hope they have a plan of continuation for when he can't run it.
