Please help, it's driving me nuts

Can anyone help me ID a kids programme from the seventies? I'm sure it was about a boy who had a hideout in his garden or nearby woods. His parents(I think) are taken hostage by crooks and he watches them and tries to help. Sorry for the lack of info but this is all I can remember. For some reason I have a mental picture of Roland out of Grange hill as the young guy....

I think I've found it whilst surfing. I'm sure it was called "A place to hide"? Anyone have any info on this show?
