  • Joe 90

Anyone remember the puppet animation series Joe 90 from the 70s.
As a child i vaguely remember rushing home from school to see this.
It was about a geeky spy kid with some kind of special glasses.
The opening titles had him sitting in a giant metal spinning ball for some reason.
That's about all i can recall, can anyone fill the blanks in?
    Great forum by the way.

The main premise was that Joe could have the mind of different (from a choice of 90?) expert implanted in his brain, depending on what sort of secret mission he was assigned to.

I have these on DVD. Great series.
The globe he's sitting in (BIG RAT) transfers the memory of a given person (expert pilot, astronaut, etc), however, once the electrodes are removed from his head, he returns to normal Joe, hence the thick glasses that contain electrodes with the memory inside.
The 90 refers to Project 90, which was the invention of the BIG RAT

I remember it well, any wee fellas in my street who wore glasses were called 'Joe 90' at times instead of 'Four eyes'.
