Anyone interested in gaenaology(sp?)Every couple of years or so I do a bit more of mine ,then get bored /irritated and leave it! Im very interested in the day to day practical side of social history ,eg how they lived etc,and often day dream about how my ancestors lived back in the day.

    Re: Family trees

Over the years I've helped my Dad & Aunt research our family tree.

We've managed to track down some relevent newspaper articles & trade directories where possible.

      Re: Family trees

I started doing my father's side of the family but it took so long I gave up. Definitely something to pick up when I leave work.

Some relatives did my grandmother on my mothers side and they found the author Lewis Carroll in the tree.

Doing research on my mother's side was kind of hard because my grandparents parents are chinese and just transferred here. Chinese family names are sort of like the same.
