I remember Lynne wasn't shy of showing 'em off as they went about their suburban swinging lifestyle.

I must admit that I prefered Axa, though

Axa! Now there was a real woman!
I never ever understood Modesty Blaise though

Are they still going? Lyn was always in the nip around someone's pool, wasn't she, and George had the biggest quiff in christendom.

Garth rings a bell, but I always liked Hagar The Horrible best.

              Re: George and Lynne

I've got a nice Garth compilation book from about '75. Although I liked Frank Bellamy's artwork I never really bothered to follow the stories when I was young. The Daily Mirror sort of revived him a year or so back but I can't say I cared for either the new stories or art.

Incidentally, someone mentioned Modesty Blaise earlier; sadly, Modesty's creator Peter O'Donnell passed away last week. Info here: http://crikey.forumotion.com/british...l-rip-t134.htm

                    Re: George and Lynne

The Daily Star ripped George and Lynne off with their "Ben and Katie" cartoon strip.

My favourite Sun newspaper cartoon strip was Livvy - remember that?

A friend of mine used to say it would be a good day at work if Lynne got the puppies out!

                      Garth lives, btw...
