Small plastic model kits of cars
Here's a very specific one for you all - late 70s early 80s UK - (possibly Japanese) plastic model kits of cars molded in 1 or 2 colours - the models were of the 'deformed' style - possibly with interchangeable parts but definitely some kind of articulation / action. They came in a small flat box (approx 6 inches by 4 inches by 1 inch) and were quite cheap. To my recollection they were not by ANY of the known model kit companies (ie NOT Airfix, Revell, Tamyia etc) Anybody?

Deformed as in not accurate to the original - caricatured or exaggerated for comic effect (ie tiny windows or massive wheels) - eg
Please note - this is not an example of the toy in question - just an illustration of 'deformed'

I know the style well, at least in fairly large pottery ornaments, and there is a company doing, would you believe, cross-stitch kits ?
