    Didn't know where to post these, so... These are some old toys my dad brought out recently while clearing out a room.
    (Some of these might have been posted by other people...)

      I used to have a till like that (the right hand section of he base had a coin sorter) and the Fisher Price House.

      I knew 1 or 2 people who had the FP record player, it worked like a music box if I remember now.

        I remember the Fisher Price record players. Didn't they work by haveng chimes in the pickup head that where struck by raised bits on the record to make the tune?

          Yes it was something like that. I've not used one in over 20 years so I'm not 100% sure.

            yes I'm sure you are right I seem to remember the records had groves and then little bumps where the needle hit

            My till also had the coin sorter, theres a picture on the forum somewhere.

                  If anyone's interested, the songs on the discs are:

                  Disc 1 (blue) - Humpty Dumpty/Jack and Jill
                  Disc 2 (orange) - Au Clair de la Lune/Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
                  Disc 3 (turquoise) - Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?/London Bridge
                  Disc 4 (purple) - Children's Marching Song/Camptown Races
                  Disc 5 (green) - Hickory Dickory Dock/Edelweiss.

                        Surprises me just how many toys were seen to be cute when we were young but looking at them today they are actually quite creepy to look at.

                          Yes, I had one of those when I was younger. I remember the London Bridge and Campdown Races one. I think that it needed to be wound up, didn't? Wasn't too long before I had the real adult version for Christmas a few years later and someone real records to play on it!
