Re: Defining song of the 80's?

It's hard to define a whole decade in one song, especially when different parts of the '80s were dominated by different sounds - the synth-pop of the early years, mid-'80s power pop/ballads, late '80s S.A.W./House music. But taking the early '80s as maybe the part most people get nostalgic about, probably....

Until recently I had forgot how great a group Erasure was - though I didn't follow their Songs too much at the time. Oh L'amour was a fantastic song too. Another notable two mentions has to go to The Bangles and Ertenal Flame/Manic Monday and of Berlin from Top Gun too

I cant believe that no one has mentioned Culture Club (any of their songs ... they're all good) Boy George pretty much sums up the 80's
