  • Smith's Crisps ad?

    Anyone remember this adorable ad?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtkfE_OWSzo



    And does anyone remember another ad for crisps? I think may have also been Smith's crisps where there were these monks.. One asks what a potato is and the other answers 'I don't know, It's all covered in mud' in a strong accent(Manchester maybe?)

        They were collectively known as the KP Friars (or Fryers) if memory serves. My cousin collected the little china versions you could send off for.

              I also remember Lenny Henry doing an ad for Smith's square crisps, with him saying "it's weird"

                      That's the one in the opening post Sharky. I don't remember that at all.

                      I remember the first Lenny Henry ad but not the "budgie" one. He looks so young (and thin!)
