YES THE LETTERING IS QUITE BIG..

I ALWAYS FELT LOOKING AT ELLESSE TRAINERS THEY WOULD BE EXPENSIVE MAYBE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACT ITS AN ITALIAN COMPANY.

Ellesse used to be a great brand I recall ... even rivalling Puma/Rebook etc for a bit!! Though I like these I think that the lettering for their name is a bit over the top/too big sadly!

I think I can recall seeing Blue ones like these too and possibly a recent-er version (as seems to be the trend to re-make old clothing from past glories)

Sometimes almost all one colour can be a bit overpowering but these are not too bad.

Im pretty sure there are lime green ones too.

For me in the 1980s/1990s you could never beat Nike Air trainers no doubts!

Were Power a Bata brand, who were also based in East Tilbury?

I'm pretty sure me and my brother had a pair of those Power trainers back in the 70s! IIRC we likely got them from the local sports shop in the village.
