  • The Flumps

The Flumps was a children's TV programme about a family of Flumps who lived in the garden. I can't remember all their names but one I know was called Pootle. The Flumps were little animated figures and they were cute little cotton wool type figures with noses and a hat. The theme tune was very catchy and popular at school.

They were sort of like humorous owl pellets with hats.

I have 'The (Complete) Flumps' on DVD, so I can add that the episodes were called -

Secrets, The Cloud, The Magnet, Get Your Skates On, Moon Shot, Balloons, Keep Fit, Something Different, Lend A Hand, Quiet Please, Grandfather's Birthday, What A Carrot!, Where's Grandfather?

The theme tune was recently used on the Auto Trader ads.
"We're the Sweeney son, and we haven't had any dinner!"

Loved this programme. As a child I'd don my own bobbie hat and my Mum would say I was Pootle.
