  • When Panto met Disco...

For anyone interested, this year I wrote and produced the Christmas Panto starring the presenters at my radio station in Stockport. It's the Cindarella story transplanted to the late 70s disco era, and re-named 'Discorella'. Thought some of you might like to take yourselves back to Christmas 1979, as we've loaded it up as a podcast here. http://podcast.pureradio.org.uk/index.php?id=594

Some of the jokes are 'in-jokes' for the station, but there's plenty of wit (I hope) about the late 70s in general... Disco fans especially will enjoy I hope.
If anyone knows the Paul Jabara/Donna Summer song 'Shut Out', I got the idea from that. Long live Disco!

Brilliant Stock... thanks for putting it up in podcast.
At least the guys and gals at your radio station made an effort for Christmas.
I ve been saying for years that the guys and gals at QVC should film a panto and run it
in a loop on Christmas day.... but they just wont listen
On Christmas day QVC were giving the big sell to jewellry .... how crass is that ?
