                    Ludmilla Tourischeva. She was in same team as Olga Korbut. I have no interest in gymnastics at all but travelled down from Liddypuddle to Earls Court to watch Ludmilla. Oh those fantasies!!!!

                          I had a crush on Natalia Shaposhnikova - another Russian cutie from the 70s. Looking at her pics today, I think I was starved of beauty! She still kind of sweet though.

                                Kathy Cook I remember her, she was a brilliant sprinter, the only british woman to run 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 4x100 meters relay and 4x400 meters relay and win medals at all these events.
                                Sadly for Kathy she never got the gold medals at the championships as the germans and russians were so good .
                                Retired young due to injury, so many sprinters have tried to achieve what she did in her short career but have failed..
