fairy tale book

this really is a shot-in-the-dark but.........does anyone have any idea about a fairy tale book?....... the size of an annual and twice as thick, hard back book ( i can't remember what the paper sleeve looked like ) but the actual hard back was covered in a very thin whiteish fabric with a drawn outline of a female/princess in gold...........the stories were very unusual.

Could it have been a book called Once Upon A Time? Featured stories included Baba yaga, Childe Roland, Why the sea is salt and the fisherman and his wife.
