Childhood Book Can't Remember Name!!

I'm trying to remember the name of my favorite book as a child. I think it might have been 'What the Wind Told'. Does this sound familiar to anyone?!
It's about a kid that's bedridden and watches through the windows to other apartments, creates different stories behind the people living in them...
