Much has been discussed in other threads about Clarks Commandos, Pathfinder shoes, shoes with animal tracks in the sole, an inlaid compass etc - but - in the 1970s - there was a brand of shoe that had a 'dairylea' shaped colored plastic wedge inlaid in the area between the sole and the heel - pointing toward the toe - that (if memory serves) - the color denoted your foot width. Does anyone remember what they were ?
