High waisted, wide leg trousers were very flattering. I loved wearing them in the 70s.

I also remember loons with one colour from the knee up and another from the knee down. Cool!

Ah you're only remembering those lovely sunny days Kaz . Remember how hard it was trying to walk in 6 inch heel platforms and ultra wide trousers in a gale? Damn things flapping about and wrapping round your legs like bondage trousers. No point in even trying to run to catch the ice cream van on windy days

Yes, but we were proud to suffer for our fashion back then. Probably the most uncomfortable time of my life. Loved it!

I wore those in the late 90's. but we called them Phat Pants. Im expecting them to come into style in about 5yrs, since fashion seems to go in 20yr cycles.

Yes got a pair of really wide trosures from chelsea girl around 1978,they were a red pair god aia wouldn,t be seen dead in wide jeans or trosures now hidious

I remember flares with high waists.A guy use to come to our house with my brother and had a pair.His were extremely tight,and obviously he had never had a girlfriend.The front '' man part '' stuck out from a distance of 2000 yards. lol

Oh I remember wearing these wide legged trousers. In fact I lived and died in them. They had two names (depending on whether they had side patch pockets near the knee or not) can't remember which were which but the two names were Oxford Bags and Brummies. I had both sorts in Bottle green, airforce blue, beige and grey. They did of course have to be worn with the compulsory platform shoes. :-)
