I thought I had, until I saw your pics. If Monkey Boots were 'not quite' Doc Martens, then I was obviously one grade lower. I must have had 'not quite' Monkey Boots. Hehe. Another pound or two saved by my parents again, then!

I ad Brown Suede ones then moved up to doccys once ma feet wer big enough, when I was 17 I bought a pair of 14 high docs , 22 yrs later, I still ave em , though they now leak a bit when it's rainingDON'T TELL HIM YOUR NAME PIKE!!

iremeber monkey boots.a guy i knew went on and on about them for months and months.he saw a rock star wearing them and only those boots were good enough for him.he got a pair,but suddenly changed to doc martens once people realised '' HIS '' rock star was not wearing monkey boots,but doc martens. lol

I remember Monkey boots,
they came in black or brown, they had a zipper up the back and a seam in front running from the top of the boot to the pointed toe. high heels, ( by most mens standards) suede, sold by Thom Mcann shoes. I never did see the difference though between Monkee boots and Beatle boots.
