Beads on trainers

Did anyone else string coloured beads onto their trainer laces?

From what I remember this was quite a short-lived fad. I was at school and I did it with my first pair of Reeboks so we're talking around 1989. I had neon beads arranged in a rainbow pattern at the end of both laces and across the bottom lace. Well cool

I think i rememeber this!! I remember putting coloured beads onto the spokes of my bicycle wheels in the 80s. Couldn't ride a bike without falling off, but i enjoyed wheeling it around with my fancy wheels!
