No wonder the frozen food in the cabinets defrosted (sorry, I thought you were mentioning a power cut at an Iceland store...)

I am not sure but if that is, the chances are that countries around the equator probably must be in ongoing daylight for three months as well.

It is close to the longest day of the year over there - can you imagine it still being light at 9.30 pm on Christmas Day? Or it being dark at 4.30 pm in June?

I have relatives there too. They emigrated back in the 70s. I hate long haul flights but so be it.
Have you never been abroad then?

No - I believe that I must have cousins over there, but I very much doubt that I will ever get to meet them.

I have never been outside our wonderful country - I did have an aunt who emigrated to Australia many decades ago.

I have relatives there too. They emigrated back in the 70s. I hate long haul flights but so be it.

Not personally but my daughter and her new husband have just returned from Oz....Sydney,Brisbane they absolutely loved it, i spent two hours last night looking at the photos .

I can't wait to go. It's for 2 weeks and I'll hire a car and go exploring. Definitely want to go to Bondi Beach, it looks beautiful! ☺
