Do you remember any Nursery Rhymes your parents or grandparents used to recite?

My father used to recite this to us as kids, in this way:

Happy Neddy in a field, munched a carrot, red.
When a bunny passing by, stopped to speak and said.
"Baby dear is awful ill, she's had an awful fright"
"but if she had a piece of that, i'm sure she'll be alright"
"Then take a bit" said Neddy, "Take all of it" said he.
"There's a thistle over yonder, and that's enough for me".

Strange thing is that I can find no info about this online anywhere, I was wondering where it actually came from. I think my dad possibly got it from his Mother who was Scottish, seeing as it mentions Thistles.

Anyone know or have any themselves that they remember?

Oh and another was this, used to make us laugh as kids.

    Mary had a little lamb
His fleece was white as snow
    And everywhere that Mary went
The Lamb was sure to go

I can think of some adult versions sung by Judge Dredd but as they are not forum appropriate............

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.
