Rain lamps

Can anybody remember these? I've mentioned them here before as my nanna's next door neighbour had one, but I never knew what they were called. I think they had their hey day in the 70's but we're still around in the 80's. I was mesmerised by the oil droplets as they dripped down the wires, supposedly looking like rain.

one of the family members had a oil lamp. their son knocked it over and broke it.

I remember seeing these in my mom's home shopping catalogues in the 70s and 80s, but I don't know anyone who actually had one.

think they used a mineral oil for the rain.
