Scottish folk singer Alex Campbell died in January 1987 in Denmark. He had been on the road as a performer virtually non-stop since his emergence from the cafes of Paris in the 1950s beat era. He cast the mould from which many who followed were forged and is reckoned to have made over 70 LPs.
With reminiscences from Wizz Jones, Ralph McTell, Patricia Campbell, Archie Fisher, Carsten Panduro, Hannes Wader and Dougie MacLean, this programme traces his life through his music. Presented by Dr Allan Taylor.
