Late "70s i worked in a club and when i got home would listen to "you and the night and the music" on R2 hosted by the news readers, lovely memories of late night radio and the music they played, Bill Rennels on Sunday mornings from 2.00am till 6.00 who took over from Colin Berry who ran out of steam and couldnt do it anymore.Weekdays it ran from 2.00am till 5.00am. The best radio memories ive ever had.

      • Re: Radio times listings 1970;s 80's 90's

I had always confused "You and the Night and the Music" with "A Little Night Music" which also appeared on Radio 2? Bill Rennels (who I thought was called Reynolds), and Colin Berry et al were presenters.

I am almost certain that Radio Trent also had a programme with the same title around the same time!
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
        I'm having so much fun
