Adrian Love chairs Radio 1's open forum-an opportunity for schools and clubs to choose a subject, provide a panel and pick the programme's music. Add a couple of invited 'experts' and the comments of the chairman. and the result is an hour's uninhibited argument interspersed only by debut performances of four or five young DJs.
This week, Brentwood County High School discuss the influence of music on young people. They ask the question 'How much does music ferment and incite violence in young people, especially at concerts, and as part of group cults such as punks and skin-heads?'
Producers DAVID WINTER and SUE DAVIES
