From the Hawth Theatre, Crawley, a spectacular concert featuring ballet music by the three leading Russian composers of this century. The concert begins with a suite from Khachaturlan's Gayaneh, which features the Sabre Dance, then continues with the Piano Concerto No 2 by Shostakovich, with the pianist Piers Lane. The second half presents excerpts from Prokofiev's magical score for Cinderella, with the story narrated by Denis Quilley , who presents the evening.
