Why Williams did become as popular as DFS is anyone's guess.

Don't recall that name either the only famous name I can remember was Courts the Co op.
And there's Reeves of Croydon. I recollect buying some sofas from there about 15 years ago and then the burnt down!

If you're into a bit of nostalgia and DIY, have you ever thought about exploring how to use mod podge? It's a cool crafting tool that can add a vintage touch to projects or even revamp furniture. Just a thought for a creative twist!

Even if this is a furniture store and worked in the 90s, their time has already passed. I don't think that they will be able to surprise customers with something now. Even furniture stores need to keep up with the times.
I recently renovated my terrace, and I needed new garden furniture. As it turned out, it is not so easy to find excellent and modern garden furniture. Almost all the stores that I visited have had furniture since 2000, which is sad. After some searching, I found an online store www.gardenfurniture.co.uk with excellent furniture. Now I have to plant bushes near the fence, and this is also a difficult task.

I haven't heard of them... the only vintage furniture I’ve heard of is Wishbone and velvet yellow. I prefer modern furniture, to be honest, but the problem is that most of the modern furniture isn’t durable at all, as if old furniture was way better quality-wise. I remember when I had to buy some furniture for my living room I went to our local store and I was really disappointed with the quality and prices, It’s extremely expensive for nothing. I kept on searching on the internet for a week or so and still couldn’t find anything decent. So, I decided to call my brother for a piece of advice, and he told me that I should buy outdoor furniture because it’s more durable and looks the same as normal furniture. I ended up buying it in our local shop and I wasn’t disappointed, but I still needed a patio for my sofa and I couldn’t find it anywhere. So, I went on the internet and found an amazing website that has everything. I got a Tempera patio furniture cover and I’m really pleased with it.

started a topic Williams - furniture store

    Williams - furniture store

I have seen some ad breaks on YouTube from around 1976 and I have seen a VT ad for a furniture store called Williams - before my time of course; I believe that they must have folded in the 1980s because I don't remember them. They seemed to be more close to MFI territory than DFS.

Their slogan was "Williams - where else?" if that happens to ring a bell.

I am certain that they must have been quite big in their day.
Working...
