Did this really happen?

Does anyone remember an episode of Blue Peter in the 1980's ( I think)where a group of guys flew a remote controlled WW2 Lancaster bomber from England to Germany. I think that they where re-creating the Dambusters mission. I can't seem to find out anything about this anywhere else, I'm starting to think it may have been a childhood dream.
