Buttoneer

I had a button fall off my shorts the other day and I was thinking I wish I had one of those Buttoneers from the 70s to save me having to sew it back on even though I've never even used one before!

I looked them up online and found they are still for sale now.
Has anyone ever used one of these? Are they any good?

Can't say I even used the original 70's one, but the new version gets mixed
reviews over at Amazon..mostly bad reviews

Went in to my Storage place and they had an original 70s Ronco Buttoneer in the Office still in it's boxed and shrink wrapped state....Quality!
