I've hoarded a few things, but having moved house recently I've had to get rid of a load of stuff, but I've kept hold of objects which stir up a genuine retro-nostalgia for my childhood. So there is a box with a ZX Spectrum and assorted games, plus a few PS1 games I've kept hold of, the Mousetrap board game and Perfection (from Action GT), all of my childhood toy cars and more recent boxed model cars I've collected, a couple of Pocketeers, the Thundering Turbo Tomytronic 3D game (although I doubt it still works), and some old badges and car brochures (Austin Maxi / Allegro / Simca 1301/1501 / Ford Escort Mk1 / Ford range 1978-79 / Morris Marina / Vauxhall range 1972 / Vauxhall Victor FD / Renault range 1977-78).

I don't think I could ever part with the original Pog sets. It was actually a search on the internet for Pogs that brought me to this website and the rest as they say, is history!

I'm the same! I've sold some of the 'fake' Pogs on ebay but I'll never part with my official ones, I've also still got some Pog tubes and even a wrapper!! LOL I did also have the Pog Board Game but have no idea where it is!! darn

I think my sons are like me, Darren, I don't think they could part with them in the end.

My hubby has also kept his C16+4 and C64 computers with games.

regarding your hubby you mean he bought them back in the eighties when they first came out and he has kept them ever since.

so you mean your sons also have these and other old consoles too.

i had these old consoles back in the eighties but i got shot of them as they got damagede tc.

ut about 5 yrs ago i decided to get them again.
never knew you where a lady kazboot.

its not just because i like these old consoles they bring me back memories of my youth.
they have a certain nostalgic element to them.

and now i have these consoles ill NEVER sell them.

My hubby bought those computers in the 80s and they still work perfectly.

My sons have a SNES and Megadrive still from the 90s.

Of course I'm a lady, Darren, just a bit of a tomboy!

I don't remember where they were bought from now, it was a long while ago.

What I meant about my sons not wanting to part with them, were the Pogs, Tazos and Pokemon Cards. Sorry if I confused you.

My boys also have Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3 and N64 consoles.

Wow, that's some nice Poggage you have going there Amethyst, takes me right back to the summer of 1995, typical afternoon would be everybody bringing their collections round each other's houses and spending hours just playing games. Is that an unopened packet in the top left, just seeing the packet reminds me of legging it to woolies for my next Pog fix!

I try to be a careful hoarder. I don't keep absolutely everything, just carefully chosen stuff that I have a particular attachement for. I've still got my Speccy but the C64 went a while back. I've still got my Atari VCS, a BBC Micro, a Sony MSX, Amiga, Super Famicom, Mega Drive, Colecovision, Vectrex, Virtual Boy, N64, PS1, PS2 and Gamecube but... er. Actually, it sounds like I am just an old machine hoarder

I have a fair bit of "old" stuff, but its not original, just bought from Ebay.
The main thing I tend to hoard are computers/ computer parts

lol I'm a big collector of things! Pogs to me were like little pieces of brilliant artwork, that I had to have and treasure, Pogman is just awesome Nope, it's not an unopened packet I'm afraid, would never be able to resist not opening one! lol I just thought I'd keep a packet for future memories, which was a good idea! I kept the World Tour packet as that was the main one I was collecting, have them all apart from 4 darn lol

Just looking at my Tomytronic 3D 'Thundering Turbo' game sitting in a drawer earlier this evening, I wondered if it still worked. So I took the back off, took the old batteries out (which had probably been in there since the '80s), and stuck some new ones in........and it worked! So, I had a bit of '80s retro gaming fun for a while with it. The only thing wrong with it was that the on/off button wasn't working, so I had to switch it off again by yanking a battery out of it, but that's a minor quibble.
