Re: RIP Richard Briers
I remember Roobarb & Custard as a kid as well as The Good Life. Brilliant actor, but he sucked really bad as the Chief Caretaker in the Doctor Who story "Paradise Towers", quite possibly the worst ever story next to "The Twin Dilemma".
R.I.P Richard.

Re: RIP Richard Briers
Very sad news. Richard was a great actor, and brought a lot of joy to a lot of people, in all of his many varied roles. You can't ask for more than that from both a career, and a life.
RIP Richard. The phone will always be the wrong way round now.

R.I.P.
Great, great actor. I first remember him from The Good Life, but looking at his career he was in a lot of stuff and had some very heavyweight roles. I think my favourite performance from him was as Martin in Ever Decreasing Circles.
I'll miss you Richard.

Re: RIP Richard Briers
Absolutely agree with all of the above- 'The Good Life' was a great fmaily favourite in the '70s. He was voicing adverts on Classic FM up until only last year.

He was one of the Voice-over kings of British advertising, in the late '70s and early '80s.

(Amended title to correct spelling of surname)
Very sad news, my earliest memories are from The Good Life and then of course from Roobarb and Custard.
