Not a familiar name to most, but the philosopher and author Sir Roger Scruton has died of cancer at the age of 75 - not to be confused with Roger "Feedback" Bolton.
I have to admit that I found the programmes he presented on BBC Radio 4 such as A Point of View (not Points of View) and the subjects that he spoken about very insightful and interesting - I have found him to be such a good communicator when it came to his observations on life and conservatism, and he was a great social commentator.
I know that the name and person doesn't mean much to most people, but I did find him very fascinating at times.
