  • RIP Ian Gibson

    Ian Gibson (20 February 1946 – 11 December 2023) was a British comic book artist, best known for his 1980s black-and-white work for 2000 AD, especially as the main artist on Robo-Hunter and The Ballad of Halo Jones, as well as his long run on Judge Dredd.

    I grew up reading 2000AD and have fond memories reading the above stories

    I thought that it was the politician of the same name, considering the Darling and Kinnock threads on here...

    I wonder whether he ever worked for Private Eye? His drawings make me think that he did satire as well, and the picture above almost looks like the front cover of an average edition! I think that it would have made a good cartoonist for them.
