Two more sad departures in recent days. Ian Carmichael and now Lionel Jeffries. What memories of these do other DYR members have?

as a kid i knew nothing of Lionel Jeffries but as i got older i realised he made one of my fave films - the railway children - and Mr Blunden and that he was in chitty chitty bang bang playing dick van dykes father even though dick van dyke was older in real life.. sad loss although to be honest i thought he was already dead...
