Re: Mobile Classrooms
In infants we had 2 mobiles but we called them the caravans and I was always jealous that none of my classes were in them. They were more wodden cladding than marine boys picture.
In high school there was a one exactly like that picture, it was officially called the unit and was used to teach some of the more "difficuilt" students. it was affectionately refferred to as "the monga hut" (horrible now but par for the course in the early 80's. One day about 200 or 300 kids from a rival school turned up (in reality 20 or 30) at the gates right next to the hut. the 6th form and staff room were right next to each other and a shout came out from one of the windows "let the mongas out". it was never fully ascertained wheteher the shout came from a student or staff.
another tale from the hut. I was once asked to take some books over, **** scared I went to find the teacher teaching kids likie mike tyson how to tell the time. "so the little hand is on 1, thats the hour hand, the big hand is on 12 so thats o'clock, so it's 1 o'clock." moves the little hand to 3, "what times it now ?" the answer he got was "boot 5 past 1 cos it was 1 aboot 5 minutes agan when ye telt iz"

Re: Mobile Classrooms
The lovely Portacabin. Construction companies use them nowadays on building sites usually one with another one on topsigpic
Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.
