Re: School lunch boxes
Red & Yellow "Postman Pat" lunchbox for me, with plain red/yellow flask that sat inside the box. (Pinched an image of an identical one off the Internet)! Had this from starting infant school in 1984, until the second year at juniors when I went onto school lunches.
Even back then, our school were very strict on what was or wasn't allowed. No fizzy drinks, no crisps (although stuff like "Mini Cheddars" were allowed), and definitely no sweets or chocolate biscuits. Yogurts were encouraged, many's a time in the summer there would be lunch box disappointment when the yogurt had gone off and was sour (or worse, on one occasion when the pot split and the liquid yogurt detonated itself all over the rest of the contents).
