Anyone remember watching this? Kabbadi is an Indian sport that was shown at teatime on a Sunday I seem to remember in the late 80's and early 90's. It involved teams playing tig around a tennis court whilst chanting kabaddi. I'm sure there was more to it than that but that's what the game seemed like to me.

I remember this on Channel 4.
Seemed to be an elaborate cross between tag (or tig depending where you are from) and rugby. Rules seemed really random but made it seem entertaining from what i can remember. -

I used to watch it but never really understood it. It was one of those things that just seemed to draw you in. Perhaps it was the chanting. Why did they do that? Was it to distract the opponents?1976 VintageComment
