I think that like a lot of people, it was only the Grand National which would give mainstream interest to the public.

Scobie Breasley Ron Hutchinson Geoff Lewis Duncan Keith Lester Piggott Pat Eddery.

Jockeys that wernt so good but are better trainers.

It's a pity that there aren't any charactrtistic horses like Red Rum and Desert Orchid in the races these days - this year's Grand National won't be much to write home about uinlike the 1970s heyday.
