Odd sports

Does anyone think that this year's (or last year's if you know what I mean) Olympics had some odd sports in there - i.e. sports that we have hardly ever heard of?

There was a few odd sports regularly televised on terrestrial tv back in the day,
sumo, Kabaddi, and , for this country, American football.
But can anyone remember a daytime tv show broadcast I think around lunchtime that was just pub games like shove ha’penny and bar skittles?
