TRS-80 Model 100 laptop. They were actually made in Japan by Kyocera. The ROM contained several software packages including a word processor. These computers were very popular with journalists and other writers on the move. An inbuilt modem was available as an optional extra to upload and download data, and send and receive emails.
This computer is very similar to an AlphaSmart and could even have been its prototype.

Computer porn... I still (hope I have not lost it) have a manual for a trs80 ( i think its that model!) - one of the BEST ever manuals I have ever read for a computer.
