Eerrr... where does 'back in the day' come into it???!
Every vehicle I've ever owned has had one, the current collection of cars etc. still does and I regularly fit them for others. First Mustang 1000 bought and licensed November '81 (still got it, still works!) and never looked back. Base rigs in use are a Grandstand and Harvard 407, mobiles are Rotel 240, Rotel 220, Fidelity 3000 (used mobile) and various others collecting dust waiting their turn.

I bought an illegal American imported AM unit back in 81, the UK soon after had Legal FM units for sale soon after. Anyone have a cb back in the day?
what was your handle?
do truckers still use them or with the legislation of using hand held electronic devices, is it illegal to use one now?
