I work in the New Forest and I agree with what you're saying AM......there certainly seems to be a lot more VW camper vans around.

    Re: VW Camper vans

The last couple of years or so, I've been on holiday down to the New Forest, and there seems to be a big boom in VW Campers around there - mainly the '70s type 2 version, though there's always a few type 1s and 3s about as well. I believe there's a place down there hiring them out for holidays. The new ones which are being built now are based on the type 2, and you can usually spot them because they have a radiator grille at the front where the spare wheel often sits on the original versions.

I see a few of these old VW campers knocking about Southport. There is a blue 08 Reg one i've seen (Classic shape) a few times, also quite a few from the 70's like J,K,L,P,R reg ones too.
