Does anyone have any memories etc of the following:
1974 Castrol celebrated 75 years with a "Wheels, Wings and Water" exhibition at London's Olympia. I'm sure the "Flying Scotsman" steam locomotive was parked in a platform at Olympia railway station. Does anyone remember any other items/exhibitions on show at this event?
Also in 1980 HONDA had a free family day at Brands Hatch. I'm sure it poured with rain, which possibly meant the cancellation of a parachute jump, however I think there was an aerobatic display, plus stunt motorcyclist DAVE TAYLOR (who featured in Scoop Comic) was there, plus I think MIKE HAZELWOOD and JOHN SURTEES both lapped the circuit on bikes and in race cars.
