Hi, Mark here, dad of two little ones and a keen retro collector. I was previously registered here as 'retrogames' but can I heck remember my password and the email address was an old work one, blame my previous employer for not paying their web company before they went bust for me not being able to get a password reminder
I seem to live in one of the best parts of the UK for picking up retro technology, my most recent buying hunt this week saw me pick up:
- a Texas TI99/4A computer, working
- several VCR machines - a brilliant video format launched in 1972 with square video tapes
- two 1960s TVs, a Baird and a Stella
- a stack of old school cassette recorders and data program recorders
- a few Amstrad CPC games
In the past I had a massive video game collection, towards 1000 PS1 games, and a total of close to 3000 games covering everything from the SNES and Megadrive to the Saturn, N64, Atari Lynx, and lots of other systems. As my kids have grown and we've needed space for their own collections (mainly vintage star wars and 80s LCD games, they have good taste!) i've sold lots of my collection. I have kept the games we play as a family, and i'm proud to say the kids are as likely to play Bomberman and Unirally on the SNES as Mario Kart on the Wii U
I'm currently building a complete collection of original Xbox games, and as time permits starting to document them at http://Www.palxbox.com as well as occasionally tracking game prices at http://Www.retrogameprices.co.uk
I'm keen to post my weekly finds here, I keep 10% of what I pick up and sell the rest at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Game-Collec...p2047675.l2563
